چکیده

The role of soil-borne microalgae in the edaphic ecosystem is barely known, especially concerning their plant-growth-promoting traits, although they are used as biofertilizers. In this study, a microalgal strain isolated from soil cultivated with maize was evaluated an exogenous producer indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) potato dextrose broth—PD—and sugarcane molasses, or without tryptophan, and phosphate solubilizer (in ‘National Botanical Research Institute’s phosphate’—NBRIP—medium tricalcium phosphate)with under heterotrophic conditions. species microalga identified, by sequencing ITS region rDNA morphological characteristics, Chlorella vulgaris. Its growth significantly higher PD medium, slower molasses. addition tryptophan did not influence C. vulgaris either but it increased production IAA, mainly to 265 µg mL−1. grew medium insoluble phosphate, releasing phosphorus into (30 mg L−1 after 72 h). This first study on application solubilizer. More studies should be performed prospective microorganism, besides its ability produce further investigations conducted developing inexpensive culture media.

Accumulation of intra-cellular polyphosphate in Chlorella vulgaris cells is related to indole-3-acetic acid produced by Azospirillum brasilense.

Accumulation of intra-cellular phosphate, as polyphosphate, was measured when the microalga Chlorella vulgaris was immobilized in alginate with either of two wild-type strains of the microalgae growth-promoting bacterium Azospirillum brasilense or their corresponding IAA-attenuated mutants. Wild type strains of A. brasilense induced higher amounts of intra-cellular phosphate in Chlorella than t...

Influence of tryptophan and indole-3-acetic acid on starch accumulation in the synthetic mutualistic Chlorella sorokiniana-Azospirillum brasilense system under heterotrophic conditions.

This study measured the relations between tryptophan production, the phytohormone indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and the metabolism and accumulation of starch during synthetic mutualism between the microalgae Chlorella sorokiniana and the microalgae growth-promoting bacteria Azospirillum brasilense, created by co-immobilization in alginate beads. Experiments used two wild-type A. brasilense strains...

Aromatic amino acid aminotransferase activity and indole-3-acetic acid production by associative nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

In this work, we report the detection of aromatic amino acid aminotransferase (AAT) activity from cell-free crude extracts of nine strains of N(2)-fixing bacteria from three genera. Using tyrosine as substrate, AAT activity ranged in specific activity from 0.084 to 0.404 micromol min(-1)mg(-1). When analyzed under non-denaturating PAGE conditions; and using tryptophan, phenylalanine, tyrosine, ...

The Effect of Photodynamic Therapy Using Indole-3-Acetic Acid and Green Light on Acne Vulgaris

BACKGROUND Photodynamic therapy (PDT) using topical aminolevulinic acid (ALA) has increasingly been used for the treatment of acne vulgaris and several studies have shown its clinical efficacy. However, ALA-PDT needs a relatively long incubation period and is frequently associated with adverse effects. Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) has been introduced as a new photosensitizer for the treatment of ...
